Look at the Mundane

Let me share with you my simple dining room and the confusing window. It's confusing to me because it is an average window. (I miss my arched 8 foot glass window from my CA Spanish style home..) so this window is a conundrum to me. This is what we inherited when we bought the house. I happen to like the paisley pattern but have no idea how to integrate it. I guess I would prefer to have more window without all of the framing. What is the term I am thinking of? ... plate glass? These are the things that I am thinking of when I am not fantasizing about the mailman.
