Field Trip today to the Natural History Museum with Brother.

A trip to the museum with a three year old consists of looking at everything except the exhibits. I learned today that a three year old can climb through the steel holes in the planetarium building structure, find the nooks and crannies in exhibit maze layout that others would ignore and find an interior window and turn it into a slide.

As we ventured through the water exhibit and noticed a section about the most wasteful water growing crop in the world. Can you guess? It's rice growing in the Central Valley of California. hmmm. Then I heard someone say in conversation that a big corporation is busy purchasing fresh water resources around the world and that by 2025 we will be all paying large sums of money to purchase said water. Is this true? It makes me think.

Cool thing noticed during the tour of water bubblers around the museum that the fountains are now retro-fitted with pour spouts so that tourists can fill their reusable water containers. I've had my eye on some snazzy Kleen Kanteens...
