Happy Dance

I'm celebrating the news today that Raqs La Majali has become Artists in Residence at the Center for Modern Dance Education.

Spring and Summer were full of fits and starts for the group. Today feels it feels like we are more cohesive and that the group, after being together for only one year and a half, is moving in positive directions.

We have the excitement of putting a show together and something about the deadline of a performance has kicked the choreography output up a couple of levels too. Energy in rehearsals has been uplifting.

I am especially happy to work with a group of ladies who work with an attitude of "what is best for the show" as a guiding principle.
