still waters run...

continuously into the basement. Seeping, seeping, seeping.

There is a pile of cardboard boxes attended by the treasured book collection awaiting the recycling truck. The unsalvagable is awaiting the garbage truck and there is a pile of displaced boxes sitting in the middle of my house. The donation truck has already removed that other pile of items that were untouched by the water and just hanging out in the garage waiting for a new life. It will be nice to get back to some sort of normal.

The basement needed to be purged and some of the items I was ready to part ways with. But, all at once is a major tax on the emotions.

This week is Spring Break and my kids are at the mercy of a graphic design deadline. They've been entertaining themselves well this morning while I make phone calls and get some emails out.

Now it's time to get some PB&J. It's a nice day and they are wanting a picnic on the front lawn. Sounds like a good idea to me.
